As part of the quality approach implemented with the European HRS4R label, and to facilitate the participation of the site's teacher-researchers and researchers in European programs linked to research and innovation - in particular Horizon Europe - this page centralizes information and resources within the site to promote research and provide a better environment for the scientific community.
1. Cross-functional themes
Themes | Descriptions | Contacts | Web pages |
Open science | As a European obligation, AMU provides research and research support staff with its expertise on the challenges of open science and scientific publishing, and supports them in managing their research data. | Common Documentation Service CEDRE project
Gender equality and gender treatment | Gender is a cross-cutting principle in all European projects. The strengthened gender equality provisions of Horizon Europe can be found at three different levels: eligibility, evaluation, and also as a ranking criterion for ex aequo proposals. | Vice Presidency Gender Equality and Anti-Discrimination (vp-egalite-fh@univ-amu.fr) | Vice-presidency for gender equality and anti-discrimination Gender equality plan |
Ethics | Ethical assessment ensures that all research activities carried out under Horizon Europe comply with fundamental ethical principles. | Ethics Committee (audrey.janssens@univ-amu.fr) | Ethics Committee |
Protection of personal data | EU-funded research projects involving personal data must comply with European and national data protection legislation. It is recommended to appoint a Data Protection Officer (DPO) within your institution, who will be involved in all stages of the project. | Data Protection Officer (herve.isar@univ-amu.fr) | Referral to DPO |
IP and valorization of research results | Applicants must describe their strategy for managing intellectual property (IP), defining the ownership regime for results, and taking steps to exploit their results or have them exploited. | Direction de la Recherche et de la Valorisation (karine.chehanne@univ-amu.fr and lionel.leblanc@univ-amu.fr) | Presentation of innovation, commercialization and technology transfer policy |
Sustainable development | Applicants may refer to the DNSH principle when presenting their research methodology and the expected impacts of the project, to show that they will not be conducting activities that would harm the environment. Defined by the functional Vice-President, AMU's roadmap is based on 4 action verbs: Raise awareness, Mobilize, Act and Collaborate. | Sustainable Development Department (dvpt-durable-contact@univ-amu.fr) | Presentation of the establishment's sustainable development policy |
Disseminating scientific culture and communication | The scientific and technical culture unit is dedicated to sharing knowledge between science and society. It designs and develops a cultural program in which researchers from all disciplines are at the heart of the mediation process. It assists and supports research organizations in their initiatives to disseminate scientific culture, and offers training courses for researchers and doctoral students. | Cellule de culture scientifique et technique (culture-scientifique@univ-amu.fr)
Interdisciplinarity | An approach at the heart of European policies, interdisciplinarity at AMU is reflected in the creation of institutional institutes and the implementation of an interdisciplinary mission. The latter aims to create synergies between transformative projects, experiment with facilitating and incentivizing practices, define milestones and evaluation tools, and share best practices within AMU and with our partners. | Project Manager - Mission interdisciplinarité(s) (flore.nonchez@amu.fr) |
2. Our resources
The Mission Europe pour la Recherche (MER), a "one-stop shop" for all your European research and innovation program needs, brings together a team of around twenty people to support you in all aspects of your European projects:
- Identifying funding opportunities, finding partners for your European project or identifying projects in the pipeline; finding a host laboratory as part of a Marie Sklodovska Curie project submission; submitting an ERC project hosted on the Aix Marseille site, etc.
Contact: detection@mission-europe-recherche.fr - Benefit from support in setting up European projects - whether you are a partner or coordinator, facilitate negotiations and non-financial follow-up of your European projects

3. Training courses
You can also benefit from in-house training courses to facilitate your European initiatives. AMU has made skills development one of its key ambitions.
Doctoral students, researchers, teacher-researchers, technical and administrative staff can all benefit from a range of training courses offered by AMU and CIVIS Alliance partner institutions.
Finally, the "Talent Development School" project offers high-level, skills-based training programs that will enable every member of the community to meet the challenges of the future
