
News: the LGBTQI+ Chair at the University of Lyon 1, in partnership with the Conférence Permanente des Chargés-e-s Egalité Diversité, is launching a survey on the process of changing customary first names in the ESR, following on from the work carried out in the MESR "respect identité de genre" WG begun in 2023. The questionnaire is specifically aimed at transgender, non-binary and questioning people who have been studying after 2016. The closing date is March 31.

The survey is anonymous, and the data will be processed by researchers Charlie Fabre and Raphaël Szymanski from Université Lyon 1. A scientific synthesis will be produced from your testimonies in order to bring about changes in procedures in ESR establishments."

Founded in 1997, L'Autre Cercle is the French reference for the inclusion of LGBT+ people in the workplace and in Higher Education. Its values are respect, humanism, independence, commitment and pragmatism. It works for a professional and academic world that is fulfilling, inclusive and respectful of people in all their diversity, whatever their affective and sexual orientation or gender identity.
On October 2, Aix Marseille Université signed the Higher Education LGBT+ Commitment Charter.
In conjunction with the signing, the Vice Presidency for Equality between Women and Men and the Fight against Discrimination organized three flagship actions to raise awareness and prevent LGBTphobia.
In addition to the signatories, the Salle du Plateau was packed to the rafters with staff and students attending the opening of the 'S h e p a r d a n d I s l a n P r o j e c t' exhibition by the , and the signing ceremony.
The conference by Flora Bolter - Co-Director of - was well attended (70 people), with discussions on the theme of 'Welcoming and fundamental rights for LBGT+ audiences'.
Last but not least, the performance of Geoffrey Coppini's Vedette(s) at the Théâtre Vitez, followed by an on-stage discussion, drew a standing ovation and a full house.

On the occasion of the International Day for the Elimination of Homophobia and Transphobia, the Vice-Presidency for Equality between Women and Men and the Fight against Discrimination organized a round table on May 17, 2021, the aim of which was to provide definitions, an overview of the current state of knowledge on LGBTIphobias, a panorama of partner associations, and information on the means of action in place at Aix-Âé¶¹tv. is the leading French organization working for the inclusion of LGBT+ people in the world of work. Founded in 1997, the non-profit association (loi 1901) now has over 400 members in 13 local branches throughout France. L'Autre Cercle's mission is to support those involved in diversity management and inclusion in the workplace.
