OBJECTIVES AND ACTIVITIES

The main objective is to strengthen the didactic skills of university teachers with a view to continuously improving the quality of initial training programs, both linguistically and didactically, in the various French departments, in order to contribute to the attractiveness of these departments and, if possible, arouse the interest of students in these fields in teaching French.
The direct beneficiaries are university teachers, heads of university departments, heads of faculties and educational or political leaders, as well as French teachers and students in these fields
Fourteen Egyptian universities are involved, both public and private, in the capital and in various provinces. The aim is to cover a large part of the country, so that Egyptian university teachers directly involved in the project can in turn train their colleagues, notably via a dedicated digital platform.

The main training themes selected for the didactics of French as a Foreign Language from the perspective of pedagogical creativity and innovation are:
- The general approach to FLE
- FLE and literature
- (Socio)linguistics and plurilingual and intercultural approaches
- FLE and digital technology
- Autonomy and language centers

The three main objectives are:
- Contribute to the modernization of university teaching practices;
- Accelerate in-service training for university teachers, focusing on the modernization of their teaching practices;
- Support reflection on university curricula for French-language training.

The FEF Egypt REINVENTE project includes several actions:
- Carrying out an audit to take into account the various elements of the project's context
- Setting up a training plan
- Holding a presentation event for senior Egyptian academic and political figures
- Hosting several collaborative working sessions for the 30 heads of French-language departments in Egypt
- The organization of two study days
- The organization of two summer universities in France
- The organization of two winter universities in Egypt
- The setting up of a digital platform dedicated to Egyptian partners to reinforce the modernization of teaching practices and the ongoing training of French teachers in Egypt.
- The production of a SPOC (small group online course) on heterogeneity.

Innovative aspect: Reinforcing the didactic skills of university teachers with a view to continuously improving the quality of initial training programs, both linguistically and didactically, through intensive training programs, bilateral collaborative work enabling adaptation to the local context, and the redistribution and multiplication of training actions through a dedicated digital platform and online training.
