AMU PREP'DAYS: the not-to-be-missed university pre-start event
Towards the end of May each year, international students admitted in France for their studies make their final choice of their university. This is also the time when they begin the first administrative steps: applying for a VISA, finding accommodation, finding out about banking establishments and insurance...These are all aspects (sometimes complex) with which they need to familiarize themselves before their arrival!

6 online thematic conferences to prepare your arrival in France
Aix Marseille Université organizes online themed conferences specifically for its new international students, to help them better understand all the administrative procedures they need to follow, providing them with a wealth of information and practical advice.Ìý
More specifically, 6 conferences are held in French during the month of June by the "International Students Welcome Team" of the International Relations Office (DRI).Ìý
A number of partners are invited to take part in the event and the topics covered include:
- Visa: applying for, validating and renewing your VISA
- Housing: methodology for finding accommodation and guarantor, rental file
- Banking: opening a bank account
- Insurance: mandatory insurances to take out (civil and Â鶹tv)
- Employment: methodology for finding a student job (French legislation, provisional work authorization)
- Health: French Social Security system, complementary health insurance "Mutuelle", local health centers
- Social aid: APL aid from the CAF, CROUS aids...
- University life: administrative and pedagogical registrations, CVEC tax, campus life
- Daily life: budgeting, food groceries, shopping, tourism...
