The Student Life Observatory is in charge of investigating AMU Doctors.
The Doctoral College (CD) has asked the Observatory of Student Life (OVE - service of the DIRFOR - Pole of Steering and Evaluation) to set up a longitudinal follow-up of Aix Â鶹tv (amU) PhDs. Following the work of the working group (GT) that brought together in 2017 doctoral schools (ED) and Direction of Doctoral Training (DFD) representatives, the CD director, the OVE and a doctoral student, a survey protocol was defined and tested for the first time in 2018.
The objective of these collections is to:
- have consolidated and homogeneous data at the institutional level on the becoming of PhDs
- evaluate the quality of the professional situation of PhDs (academic employment / non-academic employment, research vs. non-research, etc.)
- evaluate a posteriori the added value provided by the doctorate with regard to the skills acquired and to the professional activity occupied
Three surveys are conducted each year among PhDs: 1 year, 3 years and 5 years after obtaining the PhD.
