1. Description

The Test de Connaissance du ¹ó°ù²¹²Ôç²¹¾±²õ spécifique à la Demande d'Admission Préalable ("TCF pour la DAP") is required for all foreign students* wishing to enroll in the first year of a Bachelor's degree (L1) at a university or architecture school in France.
This certification of French language level is included with the DAP application (also known as the "Green File"): see the information on the page.

Each year, a single TCF session for the DAP is organized by each university, usually in January or February, for the following academic year.

IMPORTANT : Only candidates who have submitted a DAP dossier are entitled to register for the TCF DAP. For all other TCF candidates, see the TCF tout public page.

2. Registration

BEFORE registering, please read the registration instructions carefully (in "Documents à télécharger", opposite).

N.B. It is normal for the TCF DAP to take place after the DAP files have been submitted (same deadline as for TCF registration).

3. SESSION TCF DAP 2025

• TEST : Friday January 30, 2025

  (Total duration of the exams themselves: approx. 2h25)
• REQUIRED DOCUMENTS AND MATERIALS: 
  Please arrive on time in front of the exam room with:
  • valid photo ID(passport, ID card, residence permit, asylum application...)
  • a black ballpoint pen
  • confirmation of registration for the TCF DAP (issued by FEi) and, if possible, the summons stamped by the university department (page 9 of the DAP file)
  • an envelope with your name and postal address (see ) stamped for registered mail with acknowledgement of receipt
• Other information:
  • Come alone to the exam (No accompanying person may enter the university premises)

4. Preparing for the exam

5. Results

TCF results for the DAP are generally available 2 weeks after the exam, and will be sent by post (see paragraph 3 for the envelope to bring with you on the day of the exam).
Candidates must sign and return a copy of their attestation as soon as possible to the school department where they submitted their DAP file (green file).

The level obtained corresponds to the overall score (average of MCQ tests), indicated in the 2nd column, as well as the level of the written expression test, which is indicated in the last column.
