ELIGIBLE FOR THE CULTURE BONUS
OSAMU & Co (Symphony Orchestra of Aix-鶹tv and the Conservatoire Pierre Barbizet de Marseille - a Campus art Méditerranée establishment), is the result of an association between the university and the conservatoire to form a full symphony orchestra.
The 60 to 100-strong orchestra is made up of top students from the Conservatoire, current and former members of Aix-Marseille Ծé (students, staff), and outside amateur musicians.
The orchestra produces 2 to 3 programs a year, with a repertoire ranging from classical to contemporary music, and is happy to join forces with other disciplines such as choir, dance, cinema, etc.
OSAMU & Co also has an instrumental ensemble for 20th and 21st century music, which rehearses in isolated sessions throughout the year. It brings together between 8 and 15 musicians of a particularly advanced level to explore the great solo ensemble works of the repertoire, and to develop new works with the conservatory's top composition students. The ensemble also presents annual film-concerts in partnership with SATIS (Sciences Arts et Techniques de l'Image et du Son) and the Théâtre de la Criée.
