How to succeed at university?
University: the library, the lectures, the campus, the cafeteria, the freedom! Did you dream about it? Yes!
But how does it work?
Gaining autonomy
First and foremost, you need to be autonomous, able to express yourself orally and in writing - and not just in French - without making mistakes, and to make yourself understood. It's also important to respect the person you're talking to.
So, on the one hand, analysis, argumentation and reasoning, and on the other, a scientific approach, for example, will require synthesis and a logical mind.
What is required at university is the ability to analyze and reason.
The most important thing is organization!
The most important thing is how you organize yourself: you can work in a group, on your own, at weekends, in the evening, it's up to you. On the other hand, it's your autonomy that counts, and it's really important that you go beyond the classroom.
You should also know that university offers a whole range of activities that will enhance your CV, show your curiosity and open you up to the world.
In a nutshell
What's expected of students: oral and written expression, scientific approach, organization, autonomy and curiosity. To make up your own mind, you can take part in immersion days, or meet students at open days or fairs.
