The Linguaskill test is designed by Cambridge University. It certifies competence in English. It is based on the levels (A1 A2 B1 B2) of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).

Overview:

For whom/why/how is the Linguaskill test available at amU?

• This test is designed for amU students and staff, particularly for MonMaster or mobility purposes.
• It certifies English language skills at all CEFR levels.
• It is a computer-based, adaptive test, which adjusts during the test to the candidate's level.
• The test takes place on the Â鶹tv premises.
• It is offered in two formats, 2 skills (written and oral comprehension) or 4 skills (co, ce, ee, eo).

Fees:

Linguaskill 2 skills on computer at amU premises: €50.
Linguaskill 4 skills on computer at amU premises: €130.

Registration:

• Individual registration on presentation of student card or amU card, at the Saint-Charles Â鶹tv site, at SUL-CARLAM, Bâtiment 5, escalier 3, 2ème étage.
• For students or staff with disabilities, registration 4 weeks before the date of the chosen session (form for requesting a session arrangement: contact sul-certifications@univ-amu-fr ).
• Registration for a group of students (amU components), contact sul-certifications@univ-amu-fr.
   

Calendrier:

• Linguaskill 2 skills (Reading and listening):
  Session on Thursday 06 November 2025.
  Registrations from Thursday 30 October to Wednesday 05 November 2025.
• Linguaskill 4 skills :
  Session on Thursday 18 December 2025.
  Registration from Monday, December 1 to Monday, December 15, 2025.
• Linguaskill 4 skills:
  Session on Thursday, February 19, 2026.
  Registration from Monday, February 2 to Monday, February 16, 2026 inclusive.

Procedure:

4-skills test:

• Speaking = 15 to 20 minutes.
• Writing = 45 minutes.
• Reading and listening = between 60 and 90 minutes, depending on the candidate's level.

Results:

Candidates receive their results by e-mail 5 days after the test.
