Governance body

The implementation of the Initiative of Excellence is ensured by a university foundation, the A*Midex Foundation, placed under the responsibility of the Board of Directors of Aix-�鶹tv. It is chaired by Mr. Éric Berton, President of Aix-�鶹tv.

Steering Committee

The Steering Committee is composed of one representative for each of the 8 partners of the Consortium and 2 representatives of AMU.

International Strategic Council

The foundation is supported by an international Strategic Council which has an advisory role; it is currently composed of 9 qualified personalities.

	Philippe Busquin Former European Commissioner, Minister of Health in Belgium, Co-Chairman of the Scientific Orientation Committee of the University of Aix Marseille 2015.
	Jean-Claude Lehmann Honorary President of the Academy of Technologies, former Director of Research at Saint Gobain (France), CNRS Scientific Director, Co-Chairman of the Scientific Orientation Committee of the University of Aix-Marseille 2015, member of the Initiatives of Excellence (Idex) jury.
	Grace Neville Member of the Initiatives of Excellence (IdEx) jury, President of the IDEFI jury, Professor Emeritus in the Department of French at the National University of Ireland.
	Philippe Parmentier Professor of Education and Director of Education and Training Administration at the Catholic University of Louvain (Belgium), member of the IDEFI jury in France and co-chair of the ARES (Academy for Research and Higher Education) "Success" commission.

	Andrée Sursock Professor of Anthropology at the University of California (Berkeley), Andrée Sursock is vice-president of the ExcellencES jury and a member of the IDEX (Initiative d'excellence, France) and IHU - Méditérannée Infection (Institut Hospitalo-universitaire en maladies infectieuses) jury. She is also Senior Advisor to the European University Association

The director general of services and the accounting agent of the University of Aix-Marseille.
