Financing your internship mobility

An international internship is an experience that needs to be prepared in advance, and its cost anticipated.
The International Relations Department can provide you with information and help you apply for mobility grants.

What scholarships are available to finance my internship mobility ?

Erasmus+ grant

Only internships carried out within the framework of the Erasmus + program will be financed.

The Eramus+ grant also offers the following financial supplements:

*If you have used an eco-responsible means of transport for the majority of your journey between amU and the host establishment, you will become eligible for the contribution towards eco-responsible travel costs, which will replace the contribution towards standard travel costs. 

2. An inclusion top-up of €250 if you meet at least one of the following criteria:

  • Be disabled or have a long-term illness (ALD)
  • Live in a commune classified as a
  • Live in an address classified as a
  • Be a higher education grant holder on social criteria, grades 6 or 7
  • Belong to a household with a CAF family income of €561 or less

MESRI International Mobility Grant (AMI)

Only CROUS grant holders (level 0bis and above) whose study or internship period is part of their curriculum will be funded.

Length of stay financed: 2 months minimum, up to a maximum of 9 months for all your mobility during your university course.

Amount: 400€ per month

 

Aix-Âé¶¹tv Outgoing Mobility Plan Grant (PMS)


PMS - The information below concerns semester 2 of the 2024-2025 academic year and the 2025-2026 academic year. It is subject to approval by the Board of Directors on 17 October 2024.

Please note: to qualify for the grant, your application must have been ranked by your department and selected by the grant committee of the Mobility Department. Students from L2 to M2 or equivalent are eligible. Students are eligible for one work placement mobility and one study mobility per study cycle. Doctoral students are not eligible. Eligibility for this grant is automatically checked if the student is registered on the amU mobility portal. 

Duration of funded stay: 1 or 2 semesters. Funding is limited to a maximum of 5 months per mobility period.

Example: A student who goes on a 7-month mobility programme could only be funded for a maximum of 5 months.

Amount: 3 daily rates per geographical area

The PMS can only be combined with the Ami-Mesri grant.
 

AMU TIGER outgoing mobility grant

Duration of funded stay: 1 month minimum and 5 months maximum

Amount :

  • 600 €/month in Europe (capped at 3000€/academic year)
  • 1000 €/month outside Europe (capped at 5000€/academic year)

 

PRAME grant from the Southern Region

The PRAME grant can be awarded once a year and cannot be combined with the ARMIE grant (studies) in the same year.
Only stays outside the European Union are eligible, with the exception of France (Metropolitan and Overseas territories) and the principalities of Monaco and Andorra.

Length of stay financed: minimum 8 weeks and maximum 20 weeks ending no later than December 31 of year N+1
The length of stay financed is modulated according to the family quotient (≤ €26,000) of year N-1 on N-2 income.
You will not be eligible for this grant if your internship gratuity is greater than 200 euros per week.

Amount :

  • 125€/·É±ð±ð°ì for students whose tax residence is in the PACA region (max.: €2,500)

    Additional flat-rate aid per internship may be granted, as follows: 

  • 400€ for disabled students on presentation of proof from the Maison Départementale des Personnes Handicapées
  • 200€ for students who have had to pay visa fees (on presentation of proof of payment)


Application procedure: As soon as they are aware of the actual dates of the internship, students must create an account or connect to their existing account. They submit their application on the dedicated portal, together with the supporting documents requested, using the connection code sent by their mobility manager on the .

Applications must be submitted no later than 15 days before the start of the internship.

Applications submitted later than this will be rejected on the grounds that they are ‘out of time’.


How to apply for mobility grants

Mobility grants help finance your mobility. They are not intended to systematically cover all expenses related to your stay.

Not all grants can be combined. Please refer to the table below for more information.


You can apply for mobility grants via your online mobility portal.
You will receive all the information from your international mobility manager. Applying for financial aid is always subject to prior validation of your mobility file and the completeness of your application. Please comply strictly with the timetables and procedures you will be given!
