The SUL examination center organizes an annual session of the DALF C1 (Diplôme Approfondi de Langue ¹ó°ù²¹²Ôç²¹¾±²õe).

1. Description:

The DALF, Diplôme Approfondi de Langue ¹ó°ù²¹²Ôç²¹¾±²õe, is an internationally recognized certification. It is an official diploma in French, issued by the French Ministry of Education to certify proficiency in French at an advanced level (see the levels of the ). It is valid indefinitely (for life).

It is open to any foreign or French candidate from a non-French-speaking country (who does not hold a French public secondary or higher education diploma), over 16 years of age, wishing to upgrade their French language skills for personal or professional purposes.

The SUL is an examination center approved by for the Académie d'Aix-Marseille.

2. Calendar 2024/2025:

The examination center organizes a single session of the DALF C1 each year.

Upcoming sessions:

  • Registration from April 1 to 30, 2025. Registration closed.
  • Thursday May 22, 2025 : Group tests (Listening, Reading, Writing).
    - Timetable: 9:00 am - 1:15 pm (Convocation at 8:30 am).
    - Venue: Salle T3-001, bâtiment Porte-T3, 29 avenue Robert Schuman, Aix-en-Provence (to be confirmed).
  • May 23, 2025*: Speaking test, by individual invitation (see file to be downloaded).
    (Candidates may not choose the date of the speaking test).

* Information:

Group tests (reading, listening and writing) always take place in the morning. Candidates must arrive 30 minutes before the start of the tests.
Candidates cannot choose the time of theindividual oral test. Individual invitations will be posted on this site (Cf. Documents to download) and at the SUL no later than the day before the collective tests.

Registration:

Registration date from April 1 to April 30, 2025.

Fee: €130.

Registration fees are non-refundable.

3. Registration procedures:

Registrations are only possible on the dates indicated in the calendar (no early registrations will be accepted).
Registrations are carried out remotely (in the event of problems, please contact us via the contact form).

Documents to be sent to the examination center secretariat (e-mail address on the registration form):

  • Registration form (Cf. Documents to download).
  • Copy of your identity document.
  • Candidates must be over 16 years of age (although it is advisable to be at least 17, given the subject matter). Candidates under 18 years of age must also provide parental authorization.
  • Requests for test accommodations (in the event of disability) must be made 2 months before the date of the tests, on presentation of a medical certificate.

Payment of registration fees:

  • Once your registration request has been validated by the secretariat, you will receive a message informing you of the terms of payment.
  • Once your payment has been validated, you will receive your registration certificate.

Documents required for the session:

  • 2 stamped envelopes (to be brought with you on the day of the oral test):
    • 1 standard (small) for results.
    • 1 A4 format for registered mail with acknowledgement of receipt (prepaid). Note your name and address on the envelope and fill in the registered letter slip (available from any post office).

4. Results:

- Results are generally available 2 to 3 weeks after the tests. An attestation de réussite or relevé de notes (in the event of failure) is then issued.

Diplomas are available approximately 2 months after the tests.

Results and diplomas will be sent by post in the envelopes brought by candidates.
It is possible to ask another person to collect your results or diploma on your behalf. To do this, please give them power of attorney.
