CLES at AMU: fees and conditions
CLES certification (Certification en langue de l'enseignement supérieur) is designed to validate candidates' foreign language skills. It is implemented by the French Ministry of Education, Higher Education and Research, and the Coordination Nationale CLES. CLES is available in nine languages, is based on the European Framework of Reference for Languages (CERL) and comprises three levels (B1, B2, C1).
Aix-Marseille-Université has been accredited to deliver CLES since 2001 in all languages and for all levels. In 2017-18, nearly 300 candidates over 12 sessions took the CLES in six languages. The number of candidates has been rising steadily since 2013.
Registration fees are 25 euros for AMU candidates and 50 euros for external candidates (rates set by the Â鶹tv Board of Directors on July 21, 2015: deliberation no. 2015/07/21-07).
CLES is open to all categories of public: students, teaching and research staff, technical and administrative staff.
AMU session calendar:
The calendar for 2024-2025 will be available at the start of the academic year.
Results and diploma edition:
CLES juries are held one month after the exams.
The SUL issues provisional certificates of achievement in French and/or English on request by e-mail. Final certificates are usually issued in June.
