Year after year, Aix Marseille Université strengthens its attractiveness on the international scene by developing partnerships of excellence throughout the world in order to allow its students to consolidate their training and integrate more easily into a globalized and increasingly competitive job market.
WHY GO ABROAD?
A study period abroad is without a doubt an asset for your CV and your future professional career.
This mobility allows you to broaden your horizons and to confront yourself with another reality by approaching your discipline from a different angle. A mobility abroad is a life experience that goes beyond the strict academic framework.
This project will not only allow you to improve your mastery of a foreign language but also to acquire true intercultural competence.
WHAT TYPE OF MOBILITY?
From short-term study mobilities to International Partnership Diplomas (IPD), via university exchanges and internships of up to 12 months, amU offers a wide range of opportunities :
Short-term study mobilities
Short-term mobility programmes, such as the Summer and Seasonal Schools, allow you to deepen your knowledge in a particular field while benefiting from an experience abroad lasting from a few days to a few weeks.
Also, as a member university and coordinator of the CIVIS Alliance, Aix Marseille Université gives the entire amU community access to BIPs (Blended Intensive Programmes). Designed by teachers from at least 3 CIVIS member universities, these programmes combine online courses with 5 consecutive days of physical mobility in one of the 11 CIVIS member universities.

University exchanges
A study exchange is part of an inter-university exchange program that offers you the opportunity to continue your studies in a foreign partner university for a semester or an academic year. This exchange is recognized and taken into account in passing exams and obtaining the degree prepared within amU thanks to the transfer of ECTS credits obtained. You remain enrolled at Aix Marseille Université, which means that you are exempt from the host university's tuition fees but still benefit from an enriching experience abroad.

International Partnership Diplomas (DPI)
These programs allow Aix Marseille Université students to study in one or more foreign universities, for one or more semesters, continuously or in several phases.
