
With a budget of €7 million, the "International 2022 - Research & Training" call for projects, launched by the A*Midex Foundation, aims to develop and intensify international collaborations structured around research and/or training projects.
The aim of the call for projects is to encourage the emergence of projects on the Aix-Marseille site in all fields and disciplines in conjunction with international partners in all geographical areas, particularly in Africa and the Mediterranean.
Target audience
> Researchers and teacher-researchers of the Aix-Marseille site : Âé¶¹tv, CNRS, INSERM, AP-HM, IRD, CEA, Centrale Marseille, Sciences Po Aix.
The Institutes will not submit applications on their own behalf, but may provide support to research units and components that wish to submit an application.

A webinar dedicated to the call for proposals will be held on Tuesday, November 29 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm in the presence of the A*Midex Foundation team.

FOCUS 1 : Structuring of international research-training projects
Specific objectives
- Strengthen and structure one or more international partnerships
- To support international collaborative research projects with high impact for the Aix-Marseille site
- To support quality training activities that promote the link between training and research at the international level
Budget
This focus has a budget of € 6.5 million to finance approximately 10 projects with budgets ranging from € 500,000 to € 1,000,000.
Type of project
This focus supports projects :
- Ambitious research and training projects in all areas of scientific research
- Enabling the strengthening of existing reciprocal partnerships
- Carried out in collaboration with one or more international partners involved in the project
- Including an aspect of internationalization of training in connection with research activities
FOCUS 2 : Making training international using hybrid formats
Specific objectives
- To support training courses wishing to create or strengthen international links
- To encourage international exchanges around pedagogical projects
- Increase the physical and virtual mobility of students and teachers
- To create new pedagogical contents to promote the attractiveness of training courses through hybridization
Budget
This focus has € 500,000 to finance about 10 projects with budgets ranging from € 25,000 to € 75,000.
Type of project
This focus supports projects :
- Short, developed within existing training courses
- Hybrid, combining a face-to-face part (field, lab, summer school, etc.) and virtual (offering distance learning)
- Concerning a cohort of students (or group of students)

How to apply?
STEP 1: Statement of intent
Deadline January 9, 2023
The Statement of Intent is a mandatory step in the process. The main information as well as a very short note of intent of the project will be requested. However, it is not subject to selection.
STEP 2: Full Project Proposals
Deadline February 28, 2023
Submit your full proposal, including budget and annexes, finalized by the end of Step 2 at the latest (see projected timeline).
