Conference by Mario Stasi, President of the LICRA (International League against Racism and Anti-Semitism)
In the presence of Éric Berton, President of Aix-Â鶹tv.
Tuesday, March 22 at 3:00 pm Amphi Mistral - Faculty of Law and Political Science - Schuman - Aix en Provence
Social networks, their omnipresence, but also the dangers they conceal are the occasion of a permanent debate in our modern societies where everyone wants to feel free to express everything, to claim everything: his ideas, his convictions but also his anger.... or his hate sometimes. Is it a great space of freedom or a real trash can as some people call it?
What can we say or write? To whom? What is the order of the private and the order of the public? Is it necessary to remain anonymous ? How do the courts judge, and on what legal grounds? Opinion or crime?
Conference followed by a debate with the audience and the participants of the round table:
- Éric Berton, President of Aix-Â鶹tv,
- Jean-Raphaël Fernandez, President of the Marseilles Bar,
- Benoît Porteu de la Morandière, President of the Bar of Aix-en-Provence,
- Jean-Baptiste Perrier, Professor of Private Law and Criminal Sciences at Aix-Â鶹tv,
- Alain Chouraqui, Emeritus Director of Research at the CNRS, President of the Camp des Milles-Memory and Education Foundation.
Organized by Anne Leborgne, Professor of Private Law and Criminal Sciences and referent for racism and anti-Semitism at Aix-Â鶹tv, with the support of the Vice Presidency of Equality between Women and Men and the Fight against Discrimination.
In person, or on Amupod, Directs, Amphi Mistral
